The Merchant City Festival presents some of the best of Scottish and international art and entertainment with a programme of street arts, music, food and drink, comedy and dance, while at the same time showcasing the unique cultural hub that is the Merchant City.
This year, GCHT will host a number of events including workshops, a children’s heritage trail and a film night.
As part of the Festival GCHT are proud to present a night with Chris Leslie. Chris Leslie is a BAFTA Scotland (New Talent) award winning documentary photographer and filmmaker from Glasgow.
Chris has agreed to show several short films, some of which have rarely been seen, as well as a new short film commissioned for Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture & Design. He will show films from the Disappearing Glasgow project which is a long-term multimedia project documenting Glasgow’s regeneration.
