The Merchant City Festival presents some of the best of Scottish and international art and entertainment with a programme of street arts, music, food and drink, comedy and dance, while at the same time showcasing the unique cultural hub that is the Merchant City. This year, GCHT will host a number of events including workshops, a children’s heritage trail and a film night

The City Frieze Project will attract children and adults to participate in creating a re- interpretation of Glasgow’s built environment. This organic process will enable attendees to map out a new version of Glasgow through an arts & crafts activity. The project is designed to change and grow over the period of the Festival, allowing a unique insight into what the younger generation thinks about our city.
